FAMILY SLEEPOVER QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

When is the event?
The family sleepover is on Saturday, January 31st. Festivities start at 4:00 PM.


Where is the event?
It is at the Chicago, Marriott O’Hare, 8535 West Higgins Road, Chicago. Take I-90 west to exit 79B / Cumberland North. At the light, turn left on Higgins and  cross over Cumberland. The hotel  will be on your left. Additional information about the hotel can be found at www.marriottohare.com.


When can I check-in?
Check-in time is 3:00 pm on Saturday, January  31st. Check-out is noon  on Sunday, February 1st (JUST IN TIME TO MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE SUPERBOWL PARTY IN THE GYM).

What does it cost?
For those families who book prior to December 21st, the price is $119 per standard room. After December 21st, the package price is $139 per standard room. Unfortunately, there is not a special rate for suites due to the limited  suite inventory at the hotel.

What does the package include?
The package price includes overnight accommodations at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages and parking.  Also included is access to THE INDOOR POOL AND all the ballrooms which  feature bouncy houses, games,  movies, dance party, a craft corner, corn hole, horseracing and  more!

How do I book this?
aLL BOOKINGS SHOULD BE MADE VIA THE "BOOK YOUR ROOM HERE" BUTTON ABOVE.  Booking a room at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare through any other channel will not include the package inclusions outlined above, so it is necessary to book  your reservation through the website.

Is this event limited to the families of St. Edward?
Absolutely not! We encourage you to invite your friends and  family to the event.

What if I have a large family and need multiple rooms?
You may book  multiple adjoining rooms UPON REQUEST. To request adjoining rooms, please type "ADJOINING" in the “comments” section while you are making your reservation.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?
You may cancel your reservation up until January 29th without penalty.

Although snacks are included, can I buy a meal at the hotel?
Yes! You may purchase food in our St. Edward  Café, located in the Chicago Ballroom of the hotel. Food items such as pizza, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, hamburgers and 
mac and  cheese are available on an ala carte basis. If you prefer a sit-down  meal,  you may have  dinner at Brickton, the restaurant in the hotel. Upon check-in, you will receive a coupon for Brickton. Please show the coupon to the server and  a portion of your bill will go back to THE SCHOOL. Please note  that  Brickton has an expansive Sunday Brunch!

What beverages are included in the package price?
Bottles of water, juice boxes and  soda are included and available in the St. Edward Café. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase throughout the duration of our event  at the centrally-located lobby bar.

What is there for the kids to do once we arrive?
Families can check in at 3:00 pm on Saturday and  may immediately head for the pool! The St. Edward  festivities in the ballrooms begin at 4:00 pm. This includes  bouncy houses, games,  a craft corner,  movies, a dance party  and corn hole.

Are there activities for the parents as well?
We won’t judge if we see you jumping in a bouncy house! There will be horseracing for the adults as well as Corn hole. There is a centrally-located lobby bar that is perfect for mingling.


What time do the events go to?
The festivities in the ballrooms end at 10:00pm. However, the centrally-located lobby bar will remain  open as long as there are patrons.

What if I want to attend the festivities but I don’t want to spend the night?
For any families who are unable to spend the night, wristbands for the festivities will be sold at the hotel for $10 per person at the event.  Please note:  families who do not spend the night will be responsible for the applicable hotel parking fees.

Where do the proceeds from this event go?
All proceeds from this event go to THE SCHOOL.  Our school will make  a profit on every room that  is booked as well as all the food that is sold during  the event.

Is there any special attire?
This is a casual  event,  so pack accordingly! Definitely  bring swimsuits for anybody who is swimming.  Of course, don’t forget those pajamas!

Is there anything I can bring?
The St. Edward  Café would welcome any snack donations and  baked goods! For the safety of all of our guests, please  be sure that  food items are peanut-free.
